This would appear to be slightly differant. The Dog (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 makes it an offence for any person in control of a dog not to remove its faeces whilst the dog is in a public open space. The fixed penalty fine for this is £50 or up to a maximum of £1000 on summary conviction. Exceptions are roads with a speed limit over 40mph. farm and woodlands and rural common land.
